Around SBC this week..
March 7th through March 13th
Faith In Action Opportunities
- FIA 2010 SF on March 20th (work day in San Francisco converting the old mission building to a Christian school for Tenderloin youth). See the website for more information (www.sierrabible.com/outreach/faith-in-action).
- Food For Thought is in need of white gas or candles – bring contributions to the church office during regular business hours.
- Rice Bowl Project – TODAY…Please remember to bring in your filled rice bowls (March 7th).
- SBC is now an ATCAA Food Bank. This means we are able to obtain large amounts of food for a very small shipping price. We have so appreciated your generous giving of food items to supply our Food Pantry for so many years. Now we can make our dollars go so much further by being able to use ATCAA. The food is free, and we pay a very small shipping price for each case – sometimes as little as $.10 per case. If you want to make a donation, you may make the checks to SBC and designate it for the “Family Emergency Fund.” We will use this fund to offset the shipping costs, while maximizing our food! Thank you.

Financial Update – July 1 through February 28, 2010
YTD Budget: $826,945
YTD Giving: $808,650
Expenditures: $713,472
A brief update on our financial position:
February giving to the general fund was $81,304. Needed in February was $94,508. YTD giving is now $18,295 behind our adjusted budget of $1.228 million. Considering the difficult economic times, God has faithfully provided for our family. However, to avoid further cuts we need to meet our goals.
The great news is that on top of our regular giving, your generosity has sent $8,084 to Haiti for relief
and $7,874 for local community needs since December 1st.
