On the one hand-
My Sunday officially started at about 6:15 a.m. at the church, unofficially when I woke up from a sound sleep at about 4:30 AM in my bed. I’m not sure why I woke up so early, I just know that I did. And then it all started…the endless badgering of one thought after another, lists of all the things I needed to accomplish, people I needed to connect with and all that needed to happen before worship rehearsal and sound check at 6:50 a.m.
Worship rehearsal & sound check, 8:00 service, worship debrief, 9:30 service, Sunday School discussion time & brunch, 11:00 service, meeting with those who are giving testimonies on Easter, strike the stage of the old set and ready it for the new, set up for 2:30 Easter rehearsal that ended at 5:15, rehearsal clean-up, Breakout talent show until 6:45 (my daughter sang a Hannah Montana song), dinner with friends until 9 , a quick trip to Wal-Mart, an over-the-internet remote computer fix by a friend, a family meeting to talk about the week ahead, and some fretting about all that has to get done this week to prepare for Palm Sunday & Easter Sunday.
But on the other hand-
I was privileged with the opportunity to share the day with others who serve Christ and our church family by offering their best for his glory! There is no better way to live!
Blessing to you in this day!
Pastor Michael
