Journeymen Men’s Ministry

The vision of the JOURNEYMEN ministry is to provide a vital ministry at Sierra Bible Church to help men become disciples by discovering and embracing God’s roles and purposes for them in their homes, church, work, and society.

Men’s Prayer Meeting -

every first and third Thursday of the month from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. in the office conference room. All men are welcome!

Just what is a Journeyman? Webster’s Dictionary defines a journeyman as “a worker for a daily wage” – “a worker who has earned his trade”…. Well, here at Sierra Bible Church, there’s a lot more to it than that. At SBC, a Journeyman is a man on a journey toward maturity in Christ.

Their Goal: To fulfill Sierra Bible Church’s goal to introduce people to Jesus and together become more like him. They fulfill the SBC commission by encouraging men’s spiritual growth, providing an avenue for their spiritual and emotional healing, and activating them for ministry through Bible studies, small groups, retreats, special events and service opportunities.

This dedicated group of guys was started six years ago by Rich Froisness. Their good works include helping those in need, such as widows, single moms and invalids. These folks often need someone to help them with repairs, wall painting, land clearing, etc. The Journeymen also install wheelchair ramps. A while back, an elderly lady donated a houseful of furniture to them. The Journeymen store the supply and distribute it to those with specific household needs. They will also happily pick up your donations of furniture and appliances and see they are given to those in need. Twenty of these fantastic fellows are also working on the Pavilion – and we all see how good that looks. With all their good deeds, these guys give credit to their spouses and sweethearts for support.

While a great deal of their work is helping those less fortunate – there are some entertaining events, too. A Car Show – yes, a car show – is being planned for July 20^th!
