Special Summer Event…

On Saturday, August 7th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., SBC ladies will have an opportunity to get away and spend time together at Pinecrest Lake.  We will meet at the church at 8:45 a.m. for car-pooling or traveling on the church bus.  Please sign up on Sunday morning, or call Betty (586-4799) to reserve your spot.  (Adults only – no childcare provided).  Come join the fun!!! (Fellowship, eating, games, laughing, activities, hiking, prayer, etc…..)  Please bring the following to share (letters indicate the first letter of your last name):

Women of Faith “Imagine” Weekend
November 12-13, 2010
Sacramento Arco Arena

We are planning on taking a group of SBC ladies to this event, and would love to take all who are interested in two full days to connect with God and each other.  Our seating is on the floor – not in the bleachers!  Total cost is $115 ($89 for conference registration, $23 for your room Friday night, approximately $3 for your portion of parking fees).

Conference registration cost includes a box lunch on Friday & Saturday.  Easy on-line registration by credit/debit card for the conference   OR   write a check payable to Sierra Bible Church for the full $115.  Deadline to pay on-line is August 15th.

Rooms have been reserved at the Fairfield Inn & Suites (1 mile to Arco).  There are 2 beds in each room – 4 people to a room).  There is a full complimentary breakfast at the hotel.  Please make your check payable to Sierra Bible Church for $23.

Mondays

Golden Needles
If you love to crochet, knit, quilt, sew, or would like to learn, Golden Needles is the place to be. Finished products area donated to charities, hospitals and mission trips. Donations of yarn are also accepted. Meets the third Monday of each month, 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Music Room.  For more information, call Dixie at 984-4657.

Thursdays

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month, from September through May, 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center.  MOPS is for any mother that is pregnant or has an infant to kindergartner.  For more information, go to  http://www.sbcmops.blogspot.com, or call Spring (928-1378).

Opportunities to serve:

MOPPETS Workers – Would you like to be a super hero to a child? Do you love to hold babies?  Would you like to help a young mother maintain her sanity?  MOPPETS provides the opportunity for you to do all this and more.  If you are interested in providing childcare during MOPS meetings once or twice a month, call Deena (984-5750).

*Childcare:
Childcare is often provided for Bible studies and events. Cost is $5.00 per child per day and should be reserved one week in advance. To set up Child care, contact Linda (984-2494).

Moms in Touch

Mothers meeting to pray for their children and schools. This program runs during the school year.  Contact Ginny (533-4642) for information on when and where the different groups meet.
