The Missions Outreach of SBC has always been a central part of our overall ministry. In the earliest days, church family members held small group Bible studies in their homes reaching out to neighbors and friends. The church budget, even when it was about $1000/month, included 10% that went to Missions which typically went to support someone serving overseas. Never did we dream that, 35 years later, we would be a church with a multi-faceted outreach ministry that includes many areas of involvement within our community and significant connection around the world as well. To get more information regarding what SBC is presently doing to introduce people to Jesus both “across the street” and “around the world,” please feel free to email us.
This year the SBC Annual Quito Yard Sale will be on March 9th and 10th in The Commons.
In expression of the love for children that the SBC ministries in Quito, Ecuador inspired in her, Janae Roberson will be helping lead this fund-raising effort as a part of her senior project. The children at the “For His Children” orphanage benefit greatly from your generosity.
Here’s how you can join her in making this fundraiser a success:
- Donate and drop off items of value on Friday, March 9th from 1-5 pm in The Commons. (Accepted items include antique, vintage and nearly new furniture, sets of dishes, gently used baby gear, cars, trailers and yard equipment, motorcycles and bicycles. Please no books, clothing or electronics.)
- Bring your friends to the preview sale on Friday March 9th from 5-8pm and on Saturday March 10th from 7am-3pm.
- Make a monetary donation at the sale or through your giving at Sierra Bible Church.
Thank you for your participation and support as we come together to make a difference “For His Children”.
