I have been occupied with my preaching task out of the Book of Revelation. I have been reading chapters 6-10 which contain a description of what is commonly referred to as the Tribulation. This is a 7-year period that contains the opening of 7 seals that contain 7 trumpets that will lead to 7 bowls of wrath that is poured out on the earth.

It is most interesting to read but very complicated to understand. It is interesting to read the commentaries on these verses because you can probably find a commentary that tells you what you want to believe. I personally am pre-tribulation, which is the perspective that I’ll be raptured out of this world before the hard stuff takes place.

The bottom line of the focus of the sermon on Sunday will be that there is a judgment for believers, and the way we live now on this earth will one day be judged by Christ. It has caused me to think a whole lot more about eternity, and to let that thinking affect my life here and now.

Please pray for me for Sunday that I reflect the heart of Jesus and the truths He wants us to know. You can also pray during the sermon, but keep your eyes and ears open.

See you on Sunday!

Blessings,

Pastor Rick
