Derek Maxson
Derek has been an elder since 2004 and at Sierra Bible since 1997 serving in music, teaching, college and childrens ministries.  He and his wife, Christy, love mountain biking and have 3 daughters.  Derek has a Seminary degree, holds a technology patent, and was a participant in the world’s largest pillow fight.

Ralph Milnik
Ralph and his family have attended Sierra Bible for 23 years.  Ralph is a realtor for Prudential California Realty, and his wife, Ginny, teaches at Sonora Elementary School.  They have four adult children and three grandchildren.  Fun fact:  Before moving to Sonora, Ralph was the manager of the “world’s largest indoor ski resort!”

Mark Wildoner
Mark and Louise have been attending Sierra Bible Church for 20 years, where they have raised their four boys ages 17-25.  Mark has enjoyed teaching in various ministries and has also been given the opportunity to preach a few times over the years.  Mark and Louise met while getting their bachelors degrees in the Bay Area, where Louise went on to become a teacher and is currently the caregiver for their disabled son.  Mark has also done extensive work on a theology degree from Western Seminary and is currently working on a B.S. in nursing.  Together, the family enjoys traveling, adaptive quading and surfing, snorkeling, water volleyball,  tennis, and every day the Lord gives them!

Bill Polley

Walter Moberg

Weldon Allen
Weldon started his ministry with his wife, Joan, in 1954 in a movie theater in Hayward, CA.   The church was called, “The Friendly Village Church”.  He served as Sunday School Superintendent, then as a Deacon, then as an Elder.  In 1987, he and Joan helped found the California Community Church in Dublin, CA.  In 1990, they moved to Sonora and were introduced to Sierra Bible, where he has served as an Elder for 11 years.  They have 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.  They celebrated our 59th anniversary on August 16, 2010.  His hobby is raising Koi and Bonsai.

Rick Larson
Pastor Rick Larson first came to Sierra Bible in 1980.  In 1982, the church affirmed ministry gifts; and for the next 20 years, he pastored in Arnold, CA, and Houston, TX.  In 2002, he returned to Sierra Bible as Executive Pastor.  Rick’s wife, Linda, is the Administrator at Mother Lode Christian School.  They have a son and daughter, who both live in Texas, and four nearly-perfect grandchildren.  When Rick is not teaching or counseling, you might find him on the golf course.

Mark Levering
Pastor Mark has been the Founding and Senior Pastor of SBC since 1973, and feels greatly blessed by God to be able to say this – something never even imagined after graduation from Dallas Theological Seminary.  He and Evalyn, a teacher at Soulsbyville School, have three children and six grandchildren…and counting!  They love the outdoors, visiting Yosemite, vacationing in Mammoth, and hiking Pinecrest Lake regularly.
